Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) recently hosted a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) Training at CVWD’s Palm Desert office, in collaboration with the California Water Efficiency Partnership, to provide landscapers training on how to use water-efficient irrigation and sustainable landscaping practices.

This year’s program instruction was offered in Spanish to more than 30 participants representing more than 10 local landscaping companies. The training included four weekly sessions and a comprehensive final exam. They also received training and reference materials to take home. CVWD hosted an English language QWEL training in 2025.
