The Pink Fairy Duster is graceful and airy, and produces delicate, pinkish red flower clusters in the spring, complemented by its refined foliage. With a mature height and spread of 2 to 3 feet, its canopy coverage is approximately 7 square feet.

Similar to Calliandra Californica, the Pink Fairy Duster’s growth habit is typically more controlled. It is ideal in a natural garden design. Pruning back the branches slightly may help create more fullness.

Allow the plants to grow naturally, and they will produce more flowers. This low-water-use plant prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is native to Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts.
