This superior shrub or small tree has large, blue-green, leathery leaves and clusters of white flowers up to 2.5 inches wide. It grows 10 to 12 feet high, and spreads to 10 feet wide.

The Texas Olive is generally a warm-season bloomer, however flowering extends into the mild winter climate of our Valley. It accepts partial shade, and prefers well-drained soil. It is native to Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Its canopy coverage can be up to 70 square feet.
