This vine grows to 30 feet and has lustrous, deep green, leathery foliage. It is most admired for its masses of white, highly perfumed, star-shaped flowers, which bloom most heavily in spring. Versatile uses include espalier, pillar support vine, or groundcover. To climb, it does need support on the trellis. It grows best in east or north exposures. Its canopy coverage can be up to more than 700 square feet.
