August is one of the hottest months of the year where we enjoy outdoor water recreational activities such as water slides, slip n slides, pools, rivers, lakes, and the like. August is National Water Quality Month and a great reminder that it takes more than just turning on the tap to guarantee clean potable drinking water. It is a great time to educate ourselves on how we can protect our water resources and continue to maintain high water quality.

The Coachella Valley is very fortunate to have a precious natural water resource known as our Groundwater Basin or Aquifer. Visit our CV Water Counts – Learn page to learn more about protecting these resources.

For more information on water quality in your area, visit your water agency’s website and download the Water Quality Report referred to as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). To find out who your water agency is, or to find their website, check out the CV Water Counts Water Map.
